1. Our new flat is much larger and much (a lot, far) more comfortable than the old one. All the rooms are larger and lighter, and the kitchen and the bathroom are more up-to-date. The house is nearer (closer to) the metro, and there are more shops around than in the old place.

2. My son is three years younger than my daughter. Both children go to school but they are more interested in games than in (their) lessons. On weekdays my wife spends more time with the children than me (than I do) but on Sundays I spend the whole day with them. The children like to ask me questions, which (that) are getting more and more difficult. It’s easier to read them a book or play with them than to answer their questions. My wife is definitely a better teacher than me (…than I am).
